Follow an art course at the Academy
Description
Reduced Hours Secondary Arts Education (ESAHR) is a non-compulsory, subsidised education aimed at people of all ages. Thus, in order to meet the needs of everyone, the majority of courses are organised on a staggered timetable.
The aims of this kind of education are as follows:
- Contributing to the development of students by promoting an artistic culture through the learning of various artistic languages and practices.
- To provide students with the means and training to enable them to achieve artistic autonomy and to develop a personal creative faculty.
- To provide education that prepares students to meet the requirements for access to higher level arts education.
In order to meet its aims, secondary arts education with a reduced timetable can be provided in the following four areas:
- Plastic, visual and spatial arts
- music
- arts of speech and theatre
- dance
Only three institutions out of 111 organise all four areas. Indeed, for both practical and historical reasons, the distinction remains between the Academies of Fine Arts, which specialise in the plastic, visual and spatial arts, and the so-called "Music Academies", which organise the fields of music and generally also speech and theatre arts and, in some cases, dance.
To register, you can contact the Academy of your choice directly.
