Description

You should contact the International Youth Bureau (BIJ - Bureau International Jeunesse). The BIJ is a service of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation set up to manage various international non-formal education programmes aimed at young people in Wallonia and Brussels who are not afraid to move, alone or in groups. The programme you are interested in is "Bel'J". It allows you to discover another Community by working for an organisation in the Dutch-speaking or German-speaking Community of Belgium.

For what objectives?

  • Getting involved in a volunteering project
  • Making progress in learning Dutch or German

Key points

If you find an association in another Community ready to welcome you (which is not yet accredited), contact a Bel'J project manager who will explain the procedure to you.
  • Projects lasting a minimum of 2 weeks, a maximum of 3 months in a row or over a period of 6 months.
  • A Bel'J project cannot be :
